Hulett Public Library hires new librarian« Back to Bulletin Board
The Hulett Public Library welcomed a new director as Nancy Bowles stepped into the position this month. Bowles, a 20 year Hulett resident, and her husband Hal live on the F.A. Bush ranch where he is the manager. The couple have two grown daughters.
Bowles started working the Hulett School library during lunch time earlier this year and says she really enjoyed it. "When the library position opened, I was encouraged by friends and family to apply," stated Bowles. "I think it will be an exciting and challenging job."
The new librarian has experience working in a library and also working with the kids in the reading program. In her previous job she worked as a paraprofessional at the Hulett School in the reading room and in the classrooms for the past 10 years. She is also the bookkeeper for the F.A. Bush Ranch.
Bowles says she does not have a specific course plotted for the library just yet as she knows it will take a while to learn the "ins and outs." " We are planning some upcoming events in the next couple months and this summer," she says, adding that she is looking forward to the opportunity and will strive to make the library as successful as possible. She notes that she is open to any suggestions the community may offer and is anxious to see patrons in the building.
