Art Students help S.D. ranchers

« Back to Bulletin Board

Hulett art students become involved with helping neighboring South Dakota ranchers who lost cattle due to the October storm named Atlas.  A benefit and auction was held in Sturgis.  Students donated glass fused items for the auction with each bringing $250.  Donavan Hauber, Leanna Roscoe, Jessa Geib, Alli Preuss, Elizabeth Tokarczyk and Sara Thomas made a bowl titled, "Till The Cows Come Home" and Austin Miller, Thomas King, Mariah Oster, Melissa Maddison, Tashina Spaid, and Fedrica Bertolucci made a bowl signifying rebuilding to the herds.  Both groups felt the need the ranchers were going through and were very happy to get involved.
